Just out of curiosity, wouldnt it be more realistic if in the event where Chinese surrender to Japanese, Japan would liberate the China-Nanjing (U87 tag) puppet state instead of Nationalist China?

It does seem a bit bizarre that they would be able to ally with majority of the political and military figures they have just been waging a bloody war against for several years.

China-Nanjing is an ideal choice for depicting an occupied puppet China. Why was it put in the game if not for this purpose?

I completely agree! Long live U87!

It is not only makes sense historically, but also from a game-play perspective; no more Kai-shek fighting for a Japanese puppet!

Well the fate of china event goes back to the hearts of iron doomsday or perhaps even the last patch in old hoi2. when or if Japan liberate or make a puppet N-china via the event it has the same police behind it. The ministers in the government are very much same as in the China-Nanjing, but it has been different solution. Kai-shek fighting for Japan is not possible if you choose to puppet N.china in the event.

I have talked to Pang about an idea for having China-Nanjing as option in the fate of china event, but after sometime we somewhat discarded the idea.

China-Nanjing was introduced in the hoi2-armageddon. I think with only shadow-ministers in it.
Much work has been done with China-Nanjing tons of army leaders and few good TT for it, but N-china has better TT.

You can liberate China-Nanjing, but then you lose the fate of china event.

Alright, just a pity the two nations are rarely seen, considering they have a fairly interesting set of techteams, leaders and ministers.

Surely at least the decision to divide China should liberate North China and China-Nanjing? Liberating the warlords again is fairly pointless and unrealistic anyway, those two puppets could be strong on their own but keep China divided.

Is fixed or known the issue that several unit types do not use available country-specific sprites due to missing files in 1.08?
If not, I will provide a detailed bug report.

Also, the CAS sprite files for minor nations incorrectly point to USA-specific sprites instead of the generic ones in 1.08.
 
I have the latest patch loaded from perhaps 24 Feb and when looking at the industrial tech research screen 1936 Basic Oil Refining is missing from view and although when looking in the proper scenario file I see it has been research already the 1938 oil refining tech cannot be researched yet.

I have loaded Improved 1936 101 over the game but it should not affect this.

Do I have a bad install? If so , any clue which file or file folder from the new patch would affect something like this -- that is make a tech go missing from view?

I can only speculate, but \db\tech\industry_tech.txt might be corrupt.

You are exactly correct. I somehow corrupted that file. Now it works again!

Whoever compiles this package should actually remove useless ballast files thumbs.db from the source repository - image thumb db created by windoze.

Two csv files with incorrect colums - please use the validator to auto-fix these

"PA" is not a valid Int or literal "NA".

Many useless "when = now" commands in tech files: Hoi2 ballast, changes immediately effective in AoD

Hi Denniss, thanks for the feedback I will do what I can to fix errors. The poit of uploading is to test it for bugs and errors.
 
Have goven over Finlands new TT and it seems allright now. Later on I will doubel check from 1939 with Finland.
I have fixed errors in the ministers_trk, I have removed many image thumb db. I also found a lot of old doubles images in wrongly placed folders. They have now been deleted.
 
Hi, after installing AoD original game 1.02 I extracted the .rar file and copied the content in the folder, getting this error message once I start a new game, no matter which country I select.

Hi, I do not getting this error I tested just now. Keep in mind that I have been updating the beta10.1 That date was may 13. even so I would invastigate the csv file has this m525010 later.

error is in 525053, lacking a start date section thus the later sections become misaligned
