Jap AI needs tweaking. It's blitzkrieg in the Pacific is a bit half assed. They atttack the Phillipines but with too few units. It results in a stalemate. Same for Dutch East Indies. Also Japan ferried all its garrisons in the Pacific to Indo China! All the islands are now undefended and Haiphong now has dozens of garrisons. Needless to say this results in not much of a pacific war. Japan needs to switch to prepare for the attack, and maybe lay low in China for a while. And China needs nerfing IMHO.

I always give Japan a little more resources at start, else they are out of the game before the Pacific war starts.

Yes, they are a bit too tough now. Also, june 1941 and AI Japan has run out of fuel. 0 fuel... and 400 rare materials. Not good, not good...
 
Bug - the AI does not assign a leader to any units containing one or more garrison divisions.

Bug - the Third Reich AoD Mod has stacks of British nine units (one HQ and eight infantry divisions) locked in key provinces (Gibraltar, Suez, Karachi, etc.). At the start of the scenario, the AI assigns major generals or lt. generals to command these units, rather than a general or a field marshal. The leader pool has several unused generals, although they each have the old guard trait.

Otherwise my handsoff playtests ran fine and the 106A2 is running quite well. Thanks for your efforts.
