When BP triggers Finnland is allied with GER but loses provinces to GER. Those 3 provinces(103, 143 and 147) were controlled by SOV when the peace triggered. How exactly does secede province work?

There is or was a similar problem in the ITa surrender event - Albania/Greece should have been seceded to GER but always ended up as ENG. So I assume they always go to the alliance head and have to be redistributed by the alliance head instead.

Maybe it works if the peace command is moved to the german event.

BTW I don't know why we need all the duplicate province secedings to other countries, the standard SOV area should only go to germany.

I guess it would solve a lot of problems. I just saw germany invade vladivostok, thereby trigger BP. But what happens? Instead of giving those occupied provinces to JAP as intended SOV keeps them.

I am thinking of simplifiying BP a lot. The peace command would move to the german event. There would be only one secedeprovince command per province to give provinces to GER or JAP. The Kola Peninsula might become finnish and in case FIN does not exist there would be a reserve value and in some other cases aswell. But axis minors would no longer get (significant) gains from BP.
This is a significant change in late 108.

No, your intention was right. As Germany is the major nation attacking SOV it should also get the majority of provinces.
We just need separate events for Axis minors to get their core provs back, maybe plus some extra border provs they would have grabbed from SOV.

Very small nations like SLO (usually a GEr puppet) or irrelevant ones like SCA should be completely removed.

This has the downside that in a ahistorical game a human HUN, SCA or ITA cannot gain anything from the Bitter Peace.
And if the peace command is removed to the german event, than the occupied provinces will be controlled by SOV and after that by another nation. Therefore province efficiency will drop by 50% twice. This will be quite annoying for ROM and its 3 cores but also for germany. Am i wrong on this?

I fixed the bug i reported here. Please check my set 32.

I think i understand now how secedeprovince works. If a provinces is controlled by SOV and there is more than one possible receiver than the last one will receive the province. Therefore i reorganized the 2 events.
If a province is controlled by one possible receiver, than the controling nation will receive the provinces.
If a province is controlled by a third party SOV will keep the province. So if SPA controll most west of urals, than all those provinces will still be soviet property.

No, just the cores.

If i read thingscorrectly it was nteded that ROM gets 3 provinces additional to the 3 cores. This is still the case. If Oddessa etc. are controlled by SOV when BP triggers ROM will be the receiver.
