I got a 7.3Mb update. No notes, but that usually means just minor tweaks.

I only wish I could try out the pre-release version that the YouTubers got to play .You know, the one where you consistently get Extractor AI. unbreakable and free pipes and cables, as well as alien imprints as your first few Breakthrough Techs, as opposed to the version we're playing, where the most exciting one I've ever had gave me an expensive upgrade to something I didn't need.

Talking of pipes and cables, does research unlock a way to protect pipes and cables i.e. some sort of dust cover, improved materials etc?

Interesting. Sounds like something you would maybe expect i.e if cables/pipes keep breaking because of dust then give them more protection.

The triboelectric scrubber (late game) tech, normal, does protect against dust, so I suppose that would work for cables, too.

There is a tech to make pipes better. Can't remember the name but came up in one of my first games.
