1119AD, the year the world always ends

I don't know if this has been reported, but i modded the 1066 scenario to make myself the count of Essex, vassal of William of Normandy (I am vain, I know)... now every game I play always crashes sometime in 1119 AD. Is there some hastings scenario bug that is known?

Since you edited the game, you could have caused it.
If it happens with the vanilla version, you should report it to the Bug forum.

You could try starting as William, granting the title to someone and then editing the save to make the count of Essex fit your ideas of what he should be. You should be rather less likely to break something this way.

sonny, here's a fix:

play your game. start saving your game in 1118 and 1119 in different savegames every month or so. once your game crashes load the last savegame. if it is corrupt, try an older one.

now, when you have a working savegame, exit ck and start ms word.

with aid of temporal mechanics edit the start date and send your game a few months in the future, a few months after the CtD.

in most cases, problem will not occure again.
