Intrigue events show wrong character, lack description

Intrigue events appear to pretty universally display the wrong character picture; instead of showing the person actually affected, instead it seems to pick a random courtier to display. Also, the events tend to have no information at all about their effects.

Is it a random portrait, or does it have a pattern or some kind? As if does it show the liege/father/heir/whatever of the character in question?

EDIT might it show the spymaster of either court?

What I've observed is a random member of my court in the portrait, and text reading "slander event triggered for Wossname", where Wossname is not part of my court, but someone with that name rules a nearby county.

Speaking of weird intrigue event text, what the heck is a complot? "Fake Complot Succeeds, Vassal Loyalty Raised."

At first that's what I thought, that it had some relation...either a liege, or spymaster. Nope. It's just some guy. :p Which just makes the poorly explained intrigue events event more difficult to interpret. They -do- work...it's just very difficult to see how they're working, because they display very little relevant information; the wrong character being displayed just makes it more difficult to understand what's going on.

Komplot is a Swedish word for conspiracy/scheme, it's certainly not an word in the English language though...

I am pretty sure it's not a random portrait, but just the portrait of the character it is happening to.

There is very few trigger conditions on this events set: 1) intrigue >= 7, whatever the position of the character in the court (hence, a lot of eligible character); 2) it will give "coward" status to "worst_neighbour"

So, I would say WAD but very badly designed.

I will mark it as a bug, to remember to tweak it...

Well, in my experience the portrait is quite random. ;) Example: I just had the slander event against my liege the Byzantine Emperor, but the portrait was of a female courtier in my court, who wasn't my spymaster and wasn't in any way related to the Byzantine Emperor or my spymaster.

It hasn't to be: What was her intrigue score ?

If her intrigue attribute was 7 or over, she has triggered the event.

I agree with you, this event should be restricted to spymaster.

can others confirm this?

Yes. On several occasions I wondered what on earth the point of the events were. It seems that it does something to someone. I've just no clue what or whom.
