CTD on mouse-over on battle indicators

I hadn't seen any indicators in battles before, so I did the usual mouse-over to get a tooltip. CTD. Re-loaded grumbily. Had another battle, saw indicator again, mouse-over, bang.

Message box said you shouldn't do a pure virtual function call. I'm inclined to agree.

It happened while I was killing pagans under Alania as Bulgaria.

CTD are major bugs.

Anyone seen these indicators? May have been a knights and cavalry on plains bonus thing.

Where do you point your mouse at, because I didn't manage to reproduce it.
