Hello guys. I don't own FTG (yet), but I'd like to see a revised 1700 scenario. For starters, Scotland should exist independently from England, but sharing the same monarch as William II in Scotland. Carlos II wouldn't be dead yet of course.

That's basically it, just a few fixes (and whatever else you talented bunch can do). :)

Make it happen.

Not a good solution, since the "same monarch" feature in EU2/FTG has no relevance whatsoever. If the developers make it so the monarch ID is somewhat shared when the guy rules two or more countries, ok... other than that, Scotland shouldn't be independent in 1700.

That's rubbish.

By that logic Scotland shouldn't be independent in 1617 either. On top of that, you might as well make the Netherlands a part of England in 1700 too, seeing as William was also head of state there.

I see your point (and I would like a proper representation of personal unions in a patch at some point), but your logic here is flawed.

Netherlands was part of the English-Netherlands realm only until 1702. After 1700 Scotland was never apart from England. So it's a viable compromise.
