Intrigue event "Regiment destroyed" doesn't work; intrigue target issue

Thread title says it all. ;) It doesn't work when it occurs on one of your enemies, and it doesn't work when it happens to you.

Also, another issue regarding intrigue events; they don't seem to "target" in a very appropriate way. For example, I had the vicious slander event occur for me against a neighbor...who turned out to be one of my vassals. I really don't think intrigue events should fire against your vassals, that's pretty counter productive.

You mean the event where you're slandered against, yes? As a vassal I've been offered the opportunity to conspire against my liege. There isn't anything wrong with that as far as I can see, just because they're your vassal, it doesn't mean they're not devious, hateful bastards.

No, I mean the event where you do the slandering. Slandering my own vassals, especially if it ends up being an heir, is kind of silly.

your human, you got drunk, you said something stupid, it got back to him, he took offence.... seems clearcut to me .. or do you want to presume your character is always perfect?

But that's not the event at all. The slander intrigue events depend on your ruler's intrigue value; basically, you get your agents to spread rumors about an enemy (at least it should be an enemy), and if your agents are successful, the rumors will be believed and the enemy will get the coward trait. It should probably be more random than that, but that'd probably take extra scripting and maybe extra scripting commands, so "coward" is probably enough.

All the same, it could be part of a longer plan, involving you making it easier for yourself to add "his" provinces to your demesne by discrediting him in the eyes of his peers.
