When loading the 1914 scenario, I get the following error message about halfway through the loading process:

Critical error!
--- (type = 6 / id = 15000) does already exist
Do you still want to continue?

If I answer cancel or repeat, the game crashes. If I choose ignore, I get the same error for id = 15001 and 15002, but the scenario starts normally when I ignore the errors again. Not a critical problem, but definitely a bug.

To confirm,

1) you placed revolutions over a clean version of Victoria 1.4
2) you are not running any mods whatsoever.

Have not seen this error and others have played the '14 scenario without reporting any such error so not sure what might be causing it.

:p

I encounter the same error, however i installed it over 1.03c and VIP 0.4B. Are you saying i need to reinstall the original Victoria, patch it to 1.04, then add Revolutions and then put the new patch on top of that?

VIP is NOT fully compatible with anything other than Victoria 1.03C. With 1.4 it has problems, and with Revolutions VIP will definitely cause the problems you cite.

So solution is

1) complete deinstall - including checking after you deinstall Victoria to ensure all traces of VIP are removed

2) Reinstall base victoria

3) Patch to 1.04

4) add Revolutions

Do not add VIP to Revolutions, it is not at all designed for Revolutions (and it was not designed to work with 1.4 either, though many players ignored the VIP developers recommendations and applied it anyways).
