Hi everyone!

I'm thinking about creating a 1940 scenario for mainly Armageddon and maybe later for AoD.

The scenario will start during operation Dynamo, the evacuation of Dunkerque, which means end of May 1940.
The main focus of this scenario is of course Battle of Britain and the Battle for the Atlantic.

I need as much help as possible since I don't know how to do events and I need some help with the OOB.

I can however do the basic modding, so that's not any problem.

Please tell me if someone is interested, cause if noone shows interest, there's no need for me to spend my time doing this.

Would it be a battle scenario or a full scale scenario?

Some useful information:

OOB May 1940

For Germany only (all the theatres):

For France (all the theatres):
http://france1940.free.fr/oob/oob.html

For everyone (OOB only of the Battle of France):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_battle_for_the_Battle_of_France

I should note that these OOBs are for 10 May, but if you are going to set your scenario in late May, they shouldn't be very different.

You'd have onviously to change the name of most of those divisions, since they are all in English when they should be French, German or Dutch (it depends which country owns the divisions). The 'unitnames' archive within the db\ folder should help you with that. ;)

Situation in France as of 21 May 1940

This map will help you to place the divisions. ;)

For China, I think that the 1939 situation will be enough. That theatre remained static for most of the war.

If I find something else which can help you, I will post it.

Cheers!

Thanks for the maps, they can prove very useful:)
I planned to do a full scale scenario, cause I want to give the Allies the possibility to turn the tide earlier and push Germany back and thereby making Operation Barbarossa somewhat unlikely, but it will not be an ahistorical scenario in any way, it just depends on the player;)

I may set the start date to 20th may or something, cause the Allies don't have much of a chance to do something on mainland Europe if they are pocketed in Dunkerque.

and if doing it a Dunkirk evacuation, give two French divisions in the province a big dig in bonus, sorry I don't know the units names but they held out until many of the troops had evacuated.

I'm really interested in this scenario for AoD but I have no modding experience but I'll help with any historical facts. :)
