2.3 patch - Imprisoned candidate becomes Consul

Candidate imprisoned early in month becomes consul later the same month.
Playing as Carthage I arrested the populist leader and candidate in early January. I got a pop up message that he was put under guard. He was shown as improsoned ie. on his character screen I saw the opttion to release him. I had not checked in imprisoned in the character listing though.
Late in the month he was winning the election as if he had not been imprisoned.

Strange. In earlier versions arresting candidates ended their run for consulship and another candidate got their place at once.

Just wait for the next month when the game recalculates who is eligable for candidacy.

Imprisoned character and New Commander event

Correlated to this, playing as Macedonia, with the 2.3 beta patch, the "New Commander?" event fires - but the character who demands to become commander is in prison. It's a bug, right?
