I'm having ctd's with 2.31b patch but it plays for a long time before it ctd's.
I've noticed my error.log file is filled with lines (look in attached log file)
is this normal? I clean installed rome gold with official patch and then applied the beta. Ive also runned the game from the rome.exe and romegame.exe file with and without admin rights (with admin rights plays longer)
OS: win7 32bit
game not installed in C drive (to avoid weirdness with win7)

Yes, those errors are fairly normal. But the crash isn't; can you describe the crash in more detail please?

Please run DXDIAG, Save All Info, and post dxdiag.txt here (first delete everything after the Sound Devices section so it will fit). Also post your EU3/settings.txt and EU3/logs/system.log files. Note that if you use Vista or Win7 and have installed the game in the suggested folder c:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis III\, the active versions of these last two files will have been redirected by Vista to a non-system directory, like c:\users\[name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis III\. You may have to search your C: drive for them.

If i remember correctly i was appointing someone as governor for achaia and by that time the autosave kicked in my screen, i ve seen the blue win7 spinning roundel instead of the game cursor and after a few seconds the ctd happened with the win7 error reporting window appeared in desktop.
heres the files and from win7 error reporting log the following:

Well that looks basically OK. It sounds like a video problem but your driver is pretty recent. One thing I do see is that it hasn't properly detected your laptop screen:
Monitor Name: Generic PnP Monitor
Monitor Model: unknown
so you might try to correct that. Also, disable desktop composition and see if that helps at all.
