[2.8.2.1] [Linux] The exit from the game does not work correctly

At the exit the game seems to freeze, only the background sound of the sea is heard. Need to wait for about one minute (or kill the process). In the previous patch (2.8.1) was not such a problem.
Ubuntu 16.04 (Mint 18.3).

Can this be a network problem? After the exit the game or Steam tries to send some data, but does not go out and because of this it freezes. It can be so?

The problem with the freezing of the game does not always happen.

Of course I meant “if SO I guess ...”

It’s not impossible of course, but what evidence do you see that points in that direction rather than any of the numerous other possible areas the problem might be in?

Sometimes the launcher can not get data (display the latest news) at once and then it can freeze for 5-10 seconds, then it either receives the data or not, but the game can be started.

I have not run EU4 for a long time, and it is not even now installed... While it is better to stop research on this petty problem. If the situation will often recur and worsen, then I will try to solve this problem.
