I thought a new thread would be needed for this game. No point keeping it in th 38 scenario thread.

Teams

Germany - Mike
Italy - Munster
Japan - Ric
UK - Husayn
USSR - Major
US - BB

Next session is for Friday 25th at 8pm.

Currently game is up to November 36.

Yes and those that fail to show will get me rightly pissed

I was here, Friday night, to play from 8 till 12. Why has Mike quit at 11:15?

The game was originally intended to be a Friday only game according to the original thread, but really I am with mike, we really need a 2nd night whenever possible.

Those in favour of a 2nd night whenever possible vote yes:

Yes :)

Yes, "whenever possible". Not always and without question.

Well I guess thats tonight, I'm tired. Yes we need some extra sessions. I'd like to get as far as possible before Christmas, so another 3-4 hours a week would be useful. Now time for sleep...

Omni your reluctance to have a 8pm to 11pm session is hard to stomach on tiredness reasons when the rest of us bar munster work very long days or live in different timezones. Ric starts these games at 10pm and ends at 2pm mike works from the small hours of the morning. Major works a busy 9 to 5 and my medical issues make it difficult to stay up late. We all play when tired and none of us use that as an excuse to not have a session. Besides I dont know any teenagers who can be thinking of bed before 11pm regardless of what they've been doing all day.

The whenever possible means when you dont have friends visiting, or parties or doctors appointments or work commitments, it does not mean when you are simply a bit tired. You dont know what tired is, try having chronic fatigue like I do. I am tired from the time I get up, through the whole day and on a lot of nights I got to bed at 7pm, that is tired.

Orginaly this game was intended to be played on multiple week nights, its only called the friday game as thats the night we started and it and you have to call it some thing.

People need to make a decision to seriously commit to this game as hoi games are long term endevours. If you cant play between a 7 or 8pm start till 11pm on a weeknight there is something wrong with you. Bar the unexpected events we all have, "tired" is no excuse. We are all tired during the week.

Im tired of hearing omni complain in our other game and hes not going to fight it out, after 3 months to get to this point. Im tired of missed sessions becuase people dont read the forums. If you want to be apart of this group is it to hard to ask to check up to see when the next session is?

So everyone needs to make a decision for them selves do they want to commit to such a long term game that requires probably 6-8 hours a week of your free time. Only you can answer that question, but dont continue to waste others time if the answer is no and your times are not flexible.

On another not i will await to here from major with his connection being fixed before playing another session. We have enough frustrations at present without adding to them.

I remeber when we played our games on 2-3 nights a week, no probs, everyone was on time, lots of progress made. No we get no where. Lets get a bit organsied and make an effort to be on time. On time dosnt mean 5 mins past when we start you should try and be in vnet or on icq 5-10 minutes before we play, if we did this we would be in the game loaded by 8pm not 8.15-20.

So lets sort it out and get these games back to where they used to be, or throw the towel in.

I'll be there.

From Victory to Victory

The Empire of Japan is very pleased to report its successes in the ongoing campaign in China.

On the 6th of June Japan decided that an independant China just seemed to be getting in the way, so declared war on it and its various warlord factions. The Assualt began with an attacking across the entire border - bar beijing, with Field Marschall Tojo commanding the main attacking force (some 30 divisions) along the coast of the Yellow Sea. Tojo's main objective for his 12 division army was to cross the Yellow River and secure the Jinan airfields. Others were ordered to move inland as he made progress in order to begin encircling Chinese divisions.

The assualt surpassed most Japanese leaders' expectations as the Yellow river was crossed with ease, and some 17 divisions were trapped in Baoding, south of Beijing. As the armies used in the Boading pocket became available for use they were ordered to continue the push southward to achieve the main objective for the Imperial High Command, to control the Northern bank of the Yangtze River by winter. The Chinese although having vastly superior numbers were unable to use it to their advantage, and despite many probing/diversionary attacks (so many fricking pop ups) they were only able to inflict 3 defeats on Japanese troops.

The IJN meanwhile spent the time looking for Chinese ships and bombing them, and has had moderate success (as the Chinese Navy probably still exists somewhere...). While the Japanese airforce is bombing random places (would they 10 division comchina stack, noooo they'd rather bomb the single 1918 division in Baoji).

However, all in all the Imperial Japanese army has proved to succeed in every objective given to it, and soon China will come under the control of the Empire of the Rising Sun.
