Hello all.
Already playing CORE for a long time, but never posted here. :)

Did anyone try to set 20 max tech slots with IC increment of 5 (from 1 [0 to 4 based IC] to 20 [95+ based IC]) on 0.6.0 final release ?

My point is:
1. playing historical US involves great tech delay with such a complete tech tree while it seems possible to use ponctually 12/13 slot from september 1940 (maybe a bit more).
2. what about Japan (ponctual research effort) ?
3. minor countries could be more efficient with industry and infantry specialization ?

Or is it useless because of money poduction limits ?

Sorry if it has been already discussed... ;)

Sorry for not replying sooner....

We did some checking on research speed and what we currently have is pretty well what it should be. We can tune this several ways, Tech Team number, Tech Team skill and specialisation, research bonuses granted by techs (there is a significant change here in 0.60 as published) and overall research speed set in misc.txt.

So 20 Tech Teams would upset the whole balance and would not be desirable. Consider also that research costs money and that some nations (Italy for one) are killed off by too much money spent on research.
