Guys, if they're making CK2, we can assume Johan has the apocalypse in hand. I mean, why would they make a game they couldn't play themselves?

ha this was Paradox's sick plan all along.

To announce Crusaders Kings II knowing full well the world will end. Its all a big tease. They will probably release it on the 21st just to really screw with us.

On a serious not how awesome is it that CKII (stop using this "2" thing, we use roman numerals here) is coming!

I only owned the game since this June and love it. Still haven't made my own personal Mediterranean Lake :(

Because this isn't the end of a year it's the end of an epoch, and supposedly this is the last epoch (there are four or something). It's still bogus but that is where the thinking comes from. Their culture is based on going through epochs and then the world being destroyed and recreated (or something like that...) but that the world totally ends with the last epoch.

That'd be true if it were. However, it isn't. There are still Mayans around, you know that right? And their calender goes roughly to some time in 5000-something in the Gregorian Calender. We're gonna be fine.

The reason the end of the world is appealing to so many people is because people are lazy, and if the world ended no one would have to work anymore. Of course, we'd all be dead.

So many people can't take a joke on this forum....lol

Thank you to everyone who made me laugh and realized that no one in this thread has ever been serious about the world ending

I can't understand why people say that the end of the Mayan calendar is the end of the world. Strange, our calendar ends every 365 days, and still we don't see any apocalypses.
You obviously haven't seen how pissed the locals are here around, on the morning of the 1st of January :p

The apocalypse has been postponed untill further notice. :p
