Dynasty Members become Pope, I don't control them

When an ex-courtier of mine with my dynastic name who I had granted some bishoprics, one of the "Strange 30somethings", becomes Pope, I don't get to be his controller- instead, the Count of Anglouleme, who has no conceivable relation to my courtier, gets that spiffy cross. WAD?

Is this still happening in 1.02 ?

I have had a similar problem in 1.02. Someone else's "cousin" (who had no relations except for a bastard son) became pope, and I became the papal controller.

I believe that this is the same problem, but in reverse.

May I suggest that if the pope has no relitives then the most prestigious/pious member of his dynasty becomes the controller.
