293) FEEDBACK: No Duty to Liege?

It could be working just fine as well, can't know without further info. I don't play with vassals, so haven't tested this myself.

First of all how big was your income? If it is too small then duty to liege might be so small it's rounded to zero.

Secondly, did your liege have scutage set to zero? If he demands nothing, you don't have to pay anything. I'd presume the best way to check this properly would be in an MP game with one player as liege and one vassal, then changing scutage values.
 
I have played as a vassal several times. I notice that the ai is quite clever (for a change!) and does exactly what I do as a player - it sets the scutage slider to 0. Hence no duty need be payed to the Liege.

But, on occassion, the Liege really raises the scutage quite high. I can see why Loyalty could be an issue in these circumstances. ;)

I don't know exactly whether this could be considered WAD. The ai is a mystery and we all know it needs considerable tuning...

I think this may need testing to see what results in having a low duty as opposed to none at all. To see if it really will help the AI do better in the long run. Since the AI ins't as wise as a player always at raising and spending money that is.

Playing as the count of Amiens I thought the AI behaved quite intelligently with respect to scutage, but that could be just a coincidence.
 
I think that duty to liege is working corectly, if liege needs money i must pay but most the time he set scutage to zero....
once I must pay 7 ducats (half of my income) each month entire year....I break vassalization...

status should be WAD ...
 
On your character screen hover your mouse over your loyalty. If you're loyalty is +1% due to Scrutage that means your liege is not asking for any money. The range is from +1% for 0% scrutage, to 0 for 100% scrutage.

This isn't confirmed, but at 70% Scrutage loyalty is +0.3%
