Hello everyone, i am very sorry for creating already 3rd thread for the same topic - rework of battle interface, but it is necessary, because all 3 topics are very different.

Here is the concept i have developed, now i want to explain each part of it
Why am i doing this? (Answer on this question is mostly in previous thread, hope you read it).
Because i strongly believe that current battle interface doesn't achieve it goals, and it doesn't transfer the tension of battle and gives you not enough.
My opinion was proved by other users in replies to my threads, and i want to give Paradox DS at least something, and as well i want to collect opinion of you, dear fans of Paradox grand strategy games.
A. Very important here is the terrain made for every province. In order to ease the work, it can be automatically generated, or loaded from presetes as in may games, so i think that creating terrain wouldn't be hard, and will help players understand how the battle functions properly.
Also on the battlefield you can see the initial formation set by AI generals of your and enemy army.
B. Here is the second phase of the battle, maneuvering. It is very important tactical phase. In this phase the quality of generals is very important. During second phase it is very important to counter enemy maneuvers and ensure that your own maneuvers won't be countered.
- I think that graphical representation of Formation and Maneuvering will add realism to battles, will increase the effect of general's quality on battle outcome and will be very important part of the gameplay.
C. This phase is actually the battle. The numbers are calculated here.
I think there will be parameters for each regiment. There will be set parameters for regiment quality, for example some regiments have more defense and more attack, but during the battle they will evolve as well.
Morale - One of the key parameters, changes during battle, goes from -2 to 2. Moral leads to efficiency of warriors on the battlefield. High morale makes them stronger, small - weaker, and can even lead to fleeing the battlefield.
Fire, Shock, Defense - This are general parameters currently in EU4, and i don't think they should change.
Also i think that Flanking bonus should be introduced. If enemy regiment is attacked in rear by your regiment, your regiment should gain flanking bonus, that will greatly increase their damage.
D. These are who fights in the battlefield, i added this part to show how color of 2D regiment are chosen, they are chosen according to the color of the country flag.
E. This part just shows each state of regiment and how it is drawn on the battlefield.
I think that overall, all of this changes i propose should make the Battle interface much-much more interesting to track and watch, will greately increase the effect of tactics on battle outcome, and will make the battle interface only better.
Additional features:
-Save the battle you liked a lot, in order to show it to your friends, publish on forums, social network or to re-watch later.
-Hide/Show the 2D battlefield, if you don't want to see it, or don't want to overload you PC.
