Due to how this event is written you are actually punished for having a martial of 7 or higher if you are already a brilliant strategies or are smart. Having one of those and <7 martial means you always write a great book while having >7 martial means you might instead write only a good book. Other book types from this event chain also have the same issue of punishing good stats.
