1) I am playing Doomsday latest patch. I want to install CORE to it but only the extra events it adds, not the extra techs or any other modifications. Is this possible and if so, how?

2) Also does anyone know of any events that have been programmed in to reflect a Nuclear Surrender? The only thing I have found nukes good for is destroying large numbers of units and economic items. (Oh and the nice animation and sound it makes) If I for example nuke two of Japan's major cities, and the Japanese don't want to give up. I have nuked other countries with much more nukes and they didn't want to give up either unless I defeated them the traditional non-nuclear ways.

3) Does anyone know of any unofficial HOI Series forums and if so where can I find them?

Thanks.

Not without quite an amount of tinkering, given the links to techs and models in all the events. There are some that are portable 1:1, and some that aren't. More importantly, why go through all the hassle? Vanilla techs are rather crude compared to those in CORE.

I don't think we have, as the main focus so far has been AI, techs, models, graphics and prewar events. Once we get 0.40 out of the door, and thereby pretty much round up those issues, there's more time for events.

Well ours are at www.terranova.dk, home to CORE, VIP, Magna Mundi and Fallout. I can't recall any 'unofficial HOI Series forums' with a more broad coverage to be honest.

Well I like most of the CORE additional techs but to learn them all to try to figure out what they used to lead to gives me a headache and I never can remember what it was originally.

Thank you for the website.

It takes some getting used to (usually a game or two), but once you do chances are that you'll be hooked by them, based on the feedback we're getting.
Have you had a look at the manual that comes with the mod? In it we try to explain the philosophy behind the mod and the tech trees. For the upcoming release we're planning to add the requirements for each tech in an Appendix as well. And if you have any questions please feel free to ask. :)
