3 quick questions.

1. I just liberated CK from my brother and I've found the settings file and I can alter the resolution but how can I run it windowed, if it's possible, I tried editing the command line in short cut but no joy.

2. He said he had Deus Vult as well but he couldn't remember if it was boxed or digital download, I need to know which so I can ask him to dig it out or buy it myself for download.

3. I've skimmed over the manual, my brother said it wasn't very helpful, and I'm wondering if you play as a Duke or Count if you can become a Duke or King starting with a lower rank or is it more of a way of learning the game before trying to take on more with a greater rank?

1) You also need to set your desktop to 16-bit colour to play windowed.

2) If you can alter the resolution, it is Deus Vult. The main screen will also show a version number: 2.0 is DV release, 2.1b is the current version.
Crusader Kings without DV will show version 1.05 or older.

3) You can go up in rank if you create or grab a higher title -- any count can become a duke or king.

Thanks for the reply, it is DV I didn't even notice the banner in the pic with "Deus Vult" written on it, he must've added it when he installed it, he told me he couldn't find it.
Does changing to 16bit work if I add the "-w" to the command line for the short cut?

Also, for people who have 1400x900 (or 1440x900 can't remember which one it was), and want to play in fullscreen write this in the resolution part of settings:
1280
768
It looks very nice.

One bit of warning, always Save/Reload whenever your Primary title changes (FE- Count Title to a Duke Title/etc). The game messes up and sees you as an AI player once your Primary Title changes, saving/reloading fixes that.
