negative morale

when my big army was fighting I saw their morale was bad at start, so I redrew and waited a month or 2 to attack,

before I attacked I checked morale of my troops,

some of them were at -675 morale, others at -50 morale?!?

it seemed the negative morale troops found it extremely hard to bring it ever back to positive

More people seeing this happen?

it sometimes happens when your army is badly defeated and they don't seem to recover ever from morale hit,

so I presume it could only happen if you lose a battle due to morale and your survivors retreat

Well, maybe it's not a bad idea. After such a major defeat, the troops should no longer to be able to fight, until You disband them home (standard medival 'winter rest' period), and form new units (A new commander and new squad should at least boost the morale, as the soldier wouldn't be able to blame the 'new' ones for the old losses).

I have also seen this, I believe it to be WAD. You can also lose regiments to morale loss. If you keep sending a negetive morale army into battle, eventually it will auto-disband and *not* go back to its home province. Don't mind it, except for the fact I get no message telling me the regiment disbanded and scattered to the wild. :(

I follow your argumentation, but,

you do realise that it's quicker - perhaps not cheaper - to simply disband and recall them into arms and send them back to the holy land,

we are talking about the same troops here, if those troops are badly needed it not the point where they should rest - the point is that they are needed at their best morale,

is this really WAD a morale of -675?
