vanishing counties v.1.01

I play duchy o bohemia on patched version of game and I noticed that suddenly county of lower silesia dissapeared. It was part od duchy of silesia but was granted to son of duke (computer controlled). After a while it disapeared. I mean it's still boredered as independent county but with no coat of arms. If I clik on that province there's nohing , no province view :confused:

Sounds more like the province became a part of a larger domain, liek if the liege lord re-took the land or the holder inherited something better. If you click on the province, do you get a CoA in the top of the sidebar? Click on that shlould lead you to the holder...

Yeah, as Havard said - the shield indicates where the capital is. So if he inherited/acquired another land, and it moved his capital, this would be the case.

Just click on his province and when it's window shows up, click on the CoA at the top of the province window.
 
No, he's right. I had the same thing happening to me a few minutes ago. I cant reproduce how it happened or why, but suddenly there was a province that did'nt belong to any realm. When i clicked on it, the sidebar where the province view and info is shown was completely empty. It's definately not belonging to any realm. :)
I saved it and can provide the save file.

There is a quirk (bug) that can easily happen where you click on a province and get the empty sidebar - if you reclick things are normal.
 
It stays that way when i re-click. On the relational map it doesn't even become green when it's selected. On the realm map it's neutral white, it has no coat of arms. On the economic map it's greyed out unlike any other county. Enough? :)

Hmmm. The neutral color is only used for the REBE tag, Havard... ;)

I don't know how Rebels work in the game, but it sounds like they have this province.
 
I have a save game where i got something alike: I cannot find anymore the King of Castilla.

There 4 counties supposed to be his vassals but I fail to locate him: when I select one of the vassals, then click on its liege (i.e. the King of Castilla) then on the shield beside his portrait I got a focus on a county which is belonging either to one of his vassals or to another realm...

On the relation map I can only see the 4 counties in green.

In the savegame file capital is set to 0. The ruler got a tag CAST but no line home

On a sidenote: in this savegame I also find weird that through several elections of the Pope William of Normandy Count Devon without any vassal remains the controller of the Pope especially when the bishopries from where comes the different Popes are far from being part of the kingdom of England. I'll try to experiment some more on this before saying it is a bug ;)

edit: That savegame crashes on loading :(

Magni: Was the title in question given to a courtier from another court? Because if so then the CoA will be that of the other court, and the courtier won't move to his province until he is given a title by his liege. That bug already has another thread here and I'll report it further.

PatBasi: In 1.01 liege that looses his demesne can remain and try to revoke titles from it's vassals. If you have a saved game which crashes repeated I'm certain Paradoxians would appreaciate you sending it to them via e-mail.

EDIT havard at crusader-kings.com seems like a good adress as pointed above.

it's certainly new bug, looks like game engine lost one province, it's still on map but is not part of game no more :rofl:

From 1.01 changelog. I forgot about that; my mystake :eek:o . It should be ok as you can still access character page and action menu via its vassals.

And I cannot experiment anymore on the papacy control thing as my game crashes. I am not sure about sending the savegame without invitation ;)
