Unkillable army

My army is currently fighting an AI army that simply refuses to die. Basically I beat it once and broke its morale, and now it just bounces around off of my armies as they retreat immediately after meeting my armies so I can't ever kill them (except for once a month when they get a bit of morale back). I would make peace, but I'm waiting for my vassal to take them over and I need to distract the enemy.

Basically here's an example from my log:

1211-11-06 : December 7, 1211 : We are attacked by hostile armies of County of Laodikeia in Abydos.

1211-11-08 : December 9, 1211 : We won a battle against County of Laodikeia in Abydos.

1211-11-18 : December 19, 1211 : We are attacked by hostile armies of County of Laodikeia in Kyzikos.

1211-11-19 : December 20, 1211 : We won a battle against County of Laodikeia in Kyzikos.

1211-11-29 : December 30, 1211 : We are attacked by hostile armies of County of Laodikeia in Abydos.

1212-00-00 : January 1, 1212 : We won a battle against County of Laodikeia in Abydos.

1212-00-10 : January 11, 1212 : We are attacked by hostile armies of County of Laodikeia in Kyzikos.

1212-00-11 : January 12, 1212 : We won a battle against County of Laodikeia in Kyzikos.

AFAIK LUCKS is just new events, so shouldn't produce so weird an effect...

Update: reloaded the save game and noticed something else. The enemy army that had previously been broken found itself reengergized upon reload. Killed a couple hundred more of his men, but the cycle just restarted after that initial fight. Now all I have to do is save/reload a couple more times and he'll be wiped out :)

Morale is not saved.

Reloading is resetting their morale so that they fight a bit more...

It's an annoying bug nevertheless... :(
