Multiple CTD on same day

I have patch 1.02, and have played a multitude of games also on 1.01, but almost all of my games (others being stopped by autosaving crashes) have been stopped prematurely due to an annoying little bug that makes the game CTD on a given day without fail. This day is individual to each game, but it has always been within 50 years of the game starting. This, without fail, makes the save unplayable.

A short list of my computer's specs are nothing unusual, as following: 256mb RAM, 2.4Ghz Intel Celeron processor, and I run Windows XP as operating system.

I have a number of saves which I can give if someone would like to take a look if I am given an email address to send it to.

I have the same problem. I'm playing the game, all of a suden it shut down and i'm on the dectop. No save, no warning, poff all gone. I go back and load a save and same thing happens every time I get to that date.
Have had this happen on several different games.
Encounterd somthing like it on HOI. I never found a solution

The most likely cause of such a crash is that your dynasty has ended without you being aware of it. With some systems we've had trouble with the "you lose" ending displaying correctly on the death of the main character (a DX interface/video card issue most likely) so this would result in a CTD instead of the end screen.

Double check that there really *is* a dynastic heir since many people forget that a title heir and a dynastic heir are two *very* different things. If you are positive that you have a dynastic heir and have a save game that reliably produces this crash, please PM me with your e-mail address and I will supply you with an address to send the compressed save file to for testing.

I don't think that's why, it's been too many times for me to miss that that many times.

In 4 of 5 games which it has happened, I have had at lest a couple of sons as heirs. Also if your dynasty ended, it should go into the "surrended" screen, not CTDing.

I'll dig around and see if I can find a save. I just remembered that mostly all of them have been rebooted using autosaves after the initial crash. I'll PM you if I can find one after all lol.

Did you manage to send your save to someone in the end ?
