  • Cities: Skylines
Those who design 3D buildings what are your aspirations for the game? I have looked at simcity 2013 and 4 and they are lots of buildings to choose from. But they really arent building that covers all of a particular country? So if you want most of the buildings that are built in Chicago there really is no one doing that. They might be some skyscrapers but not all of it that you will see in the game. And perhaps because the game restricts the game size.

Even with cities XL the mod there is limited for types of buildings. As it will take alot of time and support to recreate most of the buildings in that city. House, apartments, commerical, etc.

So it might take a looooong time but i like to recreate 3D buildings that exist in the real life so you can visualize it in skyline. :) So recreate Chicago and replicate most of its buildings. It wont be 100% exist but close.

Anyway else eager to do the same? In Cim2 somes cities were created so the desire is there now that skyline is out and modding tools give us this ability. We now can recreate individual buildings so they can be place into the cities we create in the editor.

Is this not everyone desire to visualize your home town or desire city? Having it 80% exactly like real life? Perhaps even architects might use it to visualize their cities? They dont need to animate it in their own software they can use it your program to do just that! :) Just import their models and BANG! A life living city! Pehaps if it get more technical even city council might use it to model how their transportation system will work??? Some possibilities???????

There are high end software already for this but it still good if you can break this barrier. :)
