I'm suffering from pretty frequent CTD's with the latest release of Lux Invicta, so I've sort of stopped playing.
It got in the way of my AAR writing, which is kind of depressing in it's own right.
Anyway, I remember something about a 4 GB Fix for CK II, could someone please refresh my memory and point me in the right direction?
Would this help my issue?

Seeing as the CK2 .exe has already been 4GB-fixed ( ), you only need apply the instructions for 32-bit OSes found in the first post of the megathread

technically, they're "Important Installation Instructions" now, since they seem to apply/be of help for 64-bit systems as well

I am also having unplayably frequent CTDs. I have win7 64bit with 16gb of ram, so I'm having a hard time blaming memory. has anyone found anything else that works?

We need more information than that. Who were you playing as? What were you doing? Please don't leave a vague "frequent CTDs" because that leads nowhere.

I was playing as Athens, I was, you know, playing the game. I could find no pattern at all in what caused the CTDs. If there were more details, I would have given them. Hell, if there were more details, I'd fix it myself. The first one was within a year, I reloaded and played for a couple years, then got another one. Reloaded, repeated, each time getting another year or two down the line. Sometimes it would happen when the game was autosaving, sometimes when I clicked on a settlement, sometimes when a hostile army entered my territory.

I merely asked to see if anyone had found any method to help. I'm not asking the forum to troubleshoot it for me, just seeing what others had done to alleviate frequent crashes.

That's unusual
sometimes when I clicked on a settlement...
That's an already known cause of CTDs and we're working on fixing it

That's also unusual

Well, I don't recall anyone actually having such frequent crashes in the last two-three versions.
