muslim armies freely trespassing christian lands

Playng as king of bohemia I took my army to holy land to do some demolition and to my great surprise I was attacked by muslims armies in my home provinces (prague, morava) in the middle of christian europe
Is it a bug or outrageous betrayal from my fellow christian brothers?

...Yes, I know I am playing Devil's advocate , but given that some players have advocated making it impossible/expensive to attack those on crusade, it seems a very likely complaint.

this isn't completely ahistorical, I can give you already one example = the count of Flanders (or Duke in CK terms) going on a crusade and the French king attacked while he was on the crusade,

going on crusade had 2 risks = killed by Muslims or loosing your power back home due to some backstabber,

The Sheikdom of Gotland or Christian nations attacking other Christians while they're on crusade. I know which one gives my suspension of disbelief the most difficulty.
