I played with USA as my sponsor and one mission goal was to research 10 technologies, for which the reward was 5 free supply pods. Once I got the notification in game that I had gained access to the 5 free supply pods I used one of them but it wasn't free. I clicked on the "Resupply" button on the in game HUD and chose the supply pod from there, since I do not know of any other way to request resources from Earth.
Does the game mean that the cost of SENDING (100M per pod I think) a supply pod is free but the resources I choose to send to my colony will still cost funding? I don't know if I'm missing something obvious here... Thankful for any information available!
