The only monorail I know of is a short one that runs from the various terminals in JFK airport over the Van Wyck expressway median to a connection with the Long Island RR and the subway system in Jamaica, Queens. I always thought it was a ridiculously expensive boondoggle, but a great many people use it and like it.

The Marvelous Monorails are marvelous for the game, since its the best way to avoid traffic and cheaper than metro. In real life avoid traffic by building an entire structure (like a highway) on top of everything is very expensive and can even decrease the value of the area around. Who wants something blocking your sun?

But in the game they are really marvelous and the sound is awesome.

If the the supporting structure in the CIM2 version looked like your illustration, even I might have been tempted.

Look at the flag. It's Finland, not Sweden. And they get as much sun as anyone else - it's just that it's distributed differently over the course of the year. A lot more in summer, a lot less in winter. On my one visit to the country, in June, the sun was still up just before midnight.

First of all, it was a joke. Secondly, it says location Stockholm, Sweden. Thirdly, I was referring to this time of year. And lastly, if my life depended on it, I could not identify the flag of Sweden nor Finland nor a good many other countries.

If you read his signature, it says that he as Asperger's syndrome. Many of those have a higher sensitivity to light. I guess that's why he wrote what he wrote.

Not easy easy to know though.

LOL That is awesome. Now we all try to decipher Samilou "I do" statement. I think the Asperger syndrome = sensitive to light explains very well.

I prefer the sun always, even having 360 days of sun out of 365 in the year and an undiagnosed Asperger syndrome. Im also afraid those pillars will destroy my driving mirror.

It's actually a double track rail line, not a monorail.

Thanks for the correction. Now that I think about it, I think it was Newark Airport that was considering building a monorail.

It's funny how one of the complaints is "Unreliable RFID card readers" when we haven't even switched to a SmartCard system yet. We still use a magnetic strip card.
