I just think that one of the European powers should be able to move its capital to the New World.

What about China? They should get some sort of Huge wonder. Not jsut the great wall. Japan as well.

What if the controller of Athens could rebuild the Academy of Athens?

About manu price. Does al saves many? I mostly do not keep it if I can build some oficials. So if price is 800d its mean 4 loans. This mean percent looses.
So it cost more than theese 800. Al mostly do not build more than few basic price manu so by event it get manu which is more expensive than in life.
So there need some compensation like with technology boost or taxvalue.

I assume here that you are referring to manufactories built via an event.

The cost of 800 is cheaper than the cost is normally. PLUS the events often permit you to be building a manu that you could not normally build (like a Shipyard before the necessary Naval tech level). All skilled players build manus in large numbers and the average price manu for the second manu of a given type is about 950 and 1100 - 1200 for the third, depending on inflation.

Accordingly, a manu for 800 is a very nice price, especially when its in an early build.

The ai pay the same price, but they also have ai only events that give them free manus to keep up with the players.

Your style of play is to never have much cash around, so, yes, it will cost your 4 loans. Not everyone plays this way. And you can always chose action_b to not built it, that's why it's there. :)

Always invest and gain it fruits! Always reform and gain its fruits! :D I have seen screenshots where is 60000d!!! I would buy 6 manufactories for that. :D Just like how look developed economy and strong states.

I think that in china and champa we need to develop patronage state who would have patrons in europe and caliphate who would send technology. So they could get barrack for defend new religion against neiborghs and rebels.
So it would be like champa gets barrack (military advisers and developers) as part of tech help. It fires event in which Papal states choses (?) to send the same for its catholic china state.
After some time both would send weapon manu as to make weapons there is cheaper than to send it.
Caliphate could choose to send or not by asking help for this from another muslim states (similar to jihad events) or caliphate populance.
So if cal chooses to "send" barrack and weapon manu:
-50 land tech (loose some instructors)
-BB
-revolt risk +? in provs for some time
and anothers
Papal state could sell some church land ( ) or ask catholic countries to do that. Or then could be something like Henry 8, only pope would say that for that king becouse need of heir and stability and so on it is allowed to brake marriage and marry again. But for this this king pays for that manu and barrack. Or another paying for Pope blessing as in canary island claims between castily and portugal or acception of some marriages or so on.

And they need to pay only half of its price, but recievers (at least for barrack) 2/3 of its worth or something this kind...

I think that Cordoba has the events you suggest, the Giralda and Rusafa buildings.

I don't think the Eire idea of moving its capital makes any sense. No offense. Wouldn't happen.

Architectural wonders are really, really expensive and are built by the wealthiest nations. Vinland will be dirt poor at start. They may have built a very beautiful temple that will enchant tourist for generations, but a massive and imposing structure. On Newfoundland? It's trees are all black spruce. Nothing higher than about 12 foot. Lots of rock, but all of it hard to quarry with their technology.

The Maya one is interesting. Maybe it is something only the Maya that remain Pagan can build if they survive and flourish, a reasons for remaining pagan?

I also like these ideas. The original thought was to aberrate some architectural masterpieces of the Renaiisance, but I am happy to write Wonders for more cultures. They don't have to be in Europe, and we can do more than 7. I will keep updating this thread. Taa, for the contribution.

mikl,

did you see the event posted higher in the thread?

This thread. The event for Brittany about 9 posts higher up. Before all the comments by Ahmed.

Oh,

I see it.

I'm on it. Mmmmm 1513. I could get you Palladio, if I can drag him away from those Italian merchants wives and their renovations. If you want to spend an extra Ducats, I could get you a good deal on some second-hand gothic spires.

I think that an Italian who builds a port facility with gothic spires must be a mad genius. It could be very beautiful.

I know this is old ground, but I'd like to revisit the idea of starting Rome with a Luxury manufacctory. For the most part, the 1300's saw the real excesses happen in Avignon, rather than Rome, and it was only with the election of a single Pope that we saw the Vatcan's building programme ramp up.

Here is my suggestions for a series of events which see the Papal States get a manufactory and a series of other small bonuses for being part of a concerted capital works programme.

And move the Rome manu to Avignon, then remove it when this one is built.

mikl,

Great stuff.

I accept.

Instead, the Rome event will just be a one-off that gives the Papal States a permanent -1RR to represent the stability of having the Pope himself as the head of your country.

Maybe this is just error, but here is -1 innovativness. All other place is +1, and its is only logical that lot of artist with their finest techniques works and it makes +1 innovativness.
So is it error?

I have made the Innovative changes dependant upon the type of building, rather than type of artist. Churches get -1, Libraries get +1, for example.

If you wanted to make it also dependant upon artists, then Michelangelo gets an additional +1 Innovative, takes 3 times longer, and costs 50 ducats more.

The ones I added two uploads ago, Rome, the Eternal City, that gives it an FAA at the start and ever 50 years.

Has there been any agreement regarding famous folks in history and their role in the abberated world?Leonardo Da Vinci in Constantinople perhaps to build a bridge, Galileo fleeing to al-Andalus after persecution?Something like that :D
