It seems that we had some serious problem join games tonight. I could join other's game, but I could not host, for an unknown reason. I reinstalled the game and 1.2. I could still join other's game, but I could not find anyone to test if I could host.
In any case, I'll be there tomorrow (friday 8 pm ET) to try again.

I tried various different install combinations and still was not able to get to the retail version. Unless this is fixed by tomorrow, I will stop by and get a retail version. It's something which I was going to do, but wanted to wait until it was reduced in price.

I already played a complete MP Game with Russia after the patch, and made two mistakes:
1. I upgraded my 1918 inf instead of disbanding and building new.
2. I declared war on Germany.
Germany beat the crap out of me until Japan declared on me, when Japan declared on me the great war event fired and my ground_deff_eff was set to 0.7 and i could stabilize the front. So, you cant declare on a major as russia in 1.2, but if you wait until the major declares on you, you will be all fine. That is the change.
With ground_deff_eff of 0.2 like pre 1940 6 german tank divs with 6 inf divs win easily against 24-48 Russian Infantry divisions, that suffer tremendous losses.
I have some MP experience from some LAN parties and also some online Games and i would like to join your series. I have experience with every Major exept GB and USA. My speciality is Japan 1936. I wouldnt mind, if i shall coop with one other player. I could play from Monday to Thursday, but not on friday, saturday and sunday...

I was on earlier but it didnt look like anything was happening.
I had a 36 game with germany though and did good upgrading was a pain in the ass but you can *just* get it finished in time for war.

a recap of last nights game, Ok hereis what has happened so far. January 1st 1938- November 1st 1939.
The Fight for france.... On september 1st 1939 the glorious whermacht declared war upon the pathetic allies. The nation of France had decided to extend the Mosinot line with lvl 7 fortifacations in the Sedan all the way to the coast. Together with there British allies they decided that they would fallow the Dail plan. The British and French believed that the German army would fallow the same style of attack as it had used in ww1, ie the Schileflen plan, attack through Belgium. So the French and British consolidated their forces along this newly extended line waited for the emminate German advance, or so they thought.
Supream Commander StUkOv had devised a plan for a swift domination of the allied forces in France, when he described it to his allies (Italy and Japan) they seemed to respond in disbelef.
The German army declared war on belgium and Luxemborge, General Model launched a feint attack on Belgium, while Guderian took his Panzer Armee through luxemborge. From there the Germans did the unthinkable, Field Marshalls Rommel Manstein and Guderian launched the entire german panzer corps of 48 divisions and 36 elite infintry divisions under Von Rundstedt smashed the mosinot line at strasborgue. From there the German armoured divisions poored through the French Countryside. With Paris Open for the taking, the German army grinded to a halt. The Franco-British counter offensive had put the german lines in jepordy, So Rommel was ordered to a halt to wait for Runstedts infintry to reinforce. A small detachedment of armor split away from the main army and had orders to capture paris. Unfortinately for the Whermacht the British Expeditionary Armored Corps had just reached paris 1 hour before The detachment arrived. With more British troops arriving in france, a counter offsensive was to be exspected.
The British first begun the counter attack with there french allies pushing the Germans back from the ouskirts of paris and retaking Vichy, But it grinded to a halt soon after that.
The French 2nd army of 18 divisions was still trapped in Metz, Guderian was sent north to expose of these vermin. And eleminated they were. Now moving the troops from the former mosinot line to the front lines in france, StUkOv ordered the second Great Offensive, this time it was directed at the french 1st army of 36 divisions. This assult looked victorius and the french army was almost lost, until the British again came to there aid, forceing Rommel to retreat in order to hold his position. StUkov was now starting to regret taking Hungary,Poland and France all at the same time. Yet on september 15 Hungary was annexed, and 12 more infintry divisions were redeployed on the French Front. Knowing of his troops immenate Redployment StUkOv again launched an assult on the French 1st army (still fortified behind lvl 7 forts in the sedan.) But this time the assult was Different, 12 armoured divisions had been left under the command of Kutcher to await the comming british counter offensive, and come it did. The British had bought into the Feint and as soon as the German army retreated, it Stopped attacking as soon as the germans did. But this time the Panzer Armee under Kutcher advanced deeper into Northwest France, pushing the BEF back.
Meenwhile Rommel's Panzer Armee has moved all the way around the lines into belgium crossing the rhine. Supriseing the French who had left Dunquirk and the surrounding area undefended. While the Franco-British tried to react to this Suprise, The Troops fresh from the Hungarian Campaign were redeployed and ready to being the 3rd offensive.
The 3rd offesnive was directed again at the french first army, this time the french army broke, threw down there weponds and ran. Despite Valiant British counter attacks, they were unable to move the German Lines. But the allies were not done in france yet. Still numaricly superior in France the allies were not giving up. Thus came the 4th and Final Offensive.
Field Marshall Von Rundstedt was took a combined army of 24 infintry and 6 panzer divisions to break the British south of paris. He succeded crossing the Lore river and moved to encircle the French Capital. Meenwhile a few german divisions sweept southern france to aid there Spanish and Italian allies who were being pummeled by allied Troops.
It was now clear that france had lost, the British begun their pullout. Yet the Germans had other plans, Pre occupied with the Rundstedt offensive in the south StUkOv forgot to launch Guderian and Rommel's spearhead at Dunquirk.
Well with the Franco-British armies in retreat, The German army moved to trap the Allies. Almost succdeing in breaking the allied lvl 7 fort defenses at Dunquirk, the remants of the French first army arrived just in time to save there British allies. The British had bought themselves enough time to escape, but they time the Germans were able to reoganize to launch another attack on Dunquirk, there were only 14 allied divisions left.
On November 1st, 1939, the German Army marched victorius througout france and a puppet regeim was established in Vichy.
Uk's valliant defense had cost him his Empire, India has fallen to Japo-Persian forces while Italo-Turkish-Persian forces dominated afrika and the middle east.
With the Soviet army roughly the same seize as the Whermacht, lacking in armored divisions though, and the USA remaining Immobilized, will the Allies be able to turn back the Tide of the Axis? Only time will tell.

The USSR is in dire straights. Our armies do not seem to know way the pointy end of their guns should go. The Deniper river defenses have been breeched all to eaisly by German armor units. Moscow and Lennigrad seem to be the targets of the German thrusts. Yet, there is hope.
In the south in Turkey and Persia have we stood fast and even successfully counter attacked. A peace agreement with Japan has allowed us to redeploy about 18 divisions. Weather they will arive in time and be organized for war is not know. Plans are being made to move the factories into the interiour for a long, bitter war with Germany. Political commissar are being deployed to encourage the men to their duty, even at the point of a pistol. With these changes, the USSR will defeat the Axis forces, even if she has to do so alone. USA has joined the war, yet she lacks the forces even defend the opressed people in the Philippens.
NOTE: Until the GPW events kick in, USSR pretty much is toast military. Germany or any other country enjoys a 50% advantage in combat unit it is clears. I defended the Deniper river line, and now in hindsight should have kept them futhur back.
