Summary

A character continues to serve as regent despite being imprisoned

Description

See screenshot. The regent is imprisoned by a foreign ruler (in this case by me) but still continues to serve as the regent of their realm. Ideally one would expect that someone else becomes regent in this case.

Steps to reproduce

1. Imprison the regent of another realm.
2. Notice that the regent continues to be the regent.

I have this happening as well, without player involvement. Here, my sister is the regent for my infant niece, the petty queen of Mercia, even though my sister's been imprisoned by Haesteinn for almost 3 months. I'd also expect someone else to step into this power vacuum and become the new regent.

Hello there! The present is a design choice and not a bug. If the regent is imprisoned for too long, the character will lose this position. If you have any questions about it, don't hesitate to ask about it on the main forum for the game.
