Okay, I'm currently reading the AAR and somthing hit my mind. I was thinking about how Feudal Lords after the death of a strong Monarch have a way of killing an empire (More thinking of Oriental situations, because my dark ages european history is bad) and spliting the empire due to a weak ruler. So will it be possible for a strong ruler to say destroy the power base of the local lords and consolidate the country under the rule of the king? Sorry if this is awnsered else where, I'm lazy

My expectation is that this is a central aspect of the game...(And yes, it was certainly evident in dark ages Europe, the Empire was split in 3 upon the death of Charlemagne...though it wasn't just an issue for powerful rulers, it was an issue for rulers with many sons or potential heirs. I would expect that the jockeying between you and the other major factions along with conflicts with other potential heirs will occupy a goodly amount of time.

I hope that this will be modelled in CK especially if there are other male children of king than only main heir.

It might very well be possible, but judging by Tamas' AAR it might not be benefitial. Throughout the game he consistently handed out lands to various people. My guess is that there's some kind of "punishment" for having vast royal lands, as well as a possible maximum for the number of provinces one ruler can keep as his own.

Varyar I dont see anywheer any sign of "punishment" for having large royal lands, or a max. I do however see that he is very carefull to keep all his subordinates and children in a good mood towards him, and his heir.

Not in Tamas' AAR. The idea of "punishment" was pure speculation on my behalf, because my point of view is that acquired lands is something you don't give up unless you really really have to, and Tamas handed them out rather generously. You might be right about handing out lands to keep various henchmen happy, although I would be very reluctant to do so myself...

Also, my impression from various threads, previews and comments is that the traditional "EU2 empire building" isn't going to be a large part in the game.

Yes, I do believe there is a maximum before a penalty is incurred. The strategy gaming online preview/interview stated that at the beginning of the game, you can hold only one (1) royal county for every three (3) counties held by subordinates before you take a large loyalty hit from the noble class and your vassals.
