A few frustrating issues about the game.

I am a new player of about a week. I understand that the manual has limitations and some information can be hard to come by. I've searched the FAQ section here and still have the following questions.

I am playing Prussia in the 3 Blind Mice scenario or whatever it's called. I've completely conquered Polands territories twice and it won't let me annex it. Why is that?

I also have revolt issues in the ex-Poland territories, east and south of Posen. I understand it is because of a difference in religion, they are Catholic and Prussia is Protestant. How do I convert just the territories to Catholic?

I have troubles getting to the Netherlands from the country NE of Holland. It won't let me walk over. Is there a water division to overcome?

How do you know what territories are HRE? One of the tasks is to remove France from all HRE territories. How do I know what that is?

Ok, here it goes:
1. You cannot annex a major
2. Nationalism maybe? When you check the revolt risk, hold your mouse over the % for a few secs and you will see what causes them to revolt. You can't convert territories, but if the population in below 5000, you can send colonist there and convert all. And there is random event.
3.Are you at war with Netherlands? Or are your troops too small to start a siege?
4. Overview, religious map, check the area withing red lines. But basically, you can expect it to be Germany and part of Italy.

Go read about it in my FAQ. Hjargs explanation isn't correct in your situation.

Great! Thanks for your help guys. One of those issues I managed to figure out, the others were still bugging me, I'll have to try them. Especially the revolt thing. I've since started a new scenario usually as Prussia and been getting my butt kicked. Everyone in Europe has declared war on me with few exceptions. Could this be because I annexed the Papal States and ticked everyone off? I love to conquer, perhaps it gets me in trouble.

How do I open a CoT?

Each time you do something aggressive, your badboy rating increaces. If you annex some other country by military conquest, it rises very high. Higher your badboy rating is, more countries think of you as their main enemy and attack you. So it gets you into trouble

And COTs appear automatically, you cannot open them.
