I made some buttons purely because I felt like it :p

You are welcome to use them for yourself, you can download the set from here (RapidShare ~ thanks to ADukes)

Here is a preview of the buttons (so you know what you are downloading), I have placed the old buttons next to them so you can see the difference

If you'd like any changes, or spot any mistakes let me know (I'd be particularly interested if anyone has an idea for what to symbolize a brigade).

In the standard military symbology, brigades have a single 'X' on the top edge of the counter... just like Divisions have 'XX', Corps have 'XXX' and Armies have 'XXXX'.

In before this gets moved to the mod subforum. ;)

The buttons look very nice. I especially like the new upgrade/don't upgrade one- much more intuitive than the standard. I don't see one for prioritizing upgrades/reinforcements though, and I see two for what I think is creating a new unit.

blue emu, I did a bit of googling and I think I found the symbol you refer to, but I wasn't sure so I stuck with the 'B', do you have a definitive link to an image?

dublish, I figured it would get moved, wasn't sure where exactly to put it so I put it here in anticipation of it being moved :D

For the upgrades/reinforcements, I am not a fan of the big red cross, so I replaced that with a low opacity version of the same icon. It makes sense to me anyway

Here is a link to a picture of an Infantry brigade sitting in Berlin (from one of the "Developer Diaries" threads in the HOI-3 GD Forum).

A Division would have 'XX' instead, a Corps 'XXX', etc.

Cheers blue emu, I've edited the first post to reflect the changes :)

The box-with-an-X-in-it is just the symbol for "Infantry". The 'x' that I was referring to (the one that means "brigade") is the LITTLE 'x' in the center of the top edge of the counter.

Gotcha, first post edited to reflect changes :)

Nice change to the brigade buttons.

Wasn't sure what you meant so I placed the old buttons next to the new ones on the original post, some of them I've changed quite a bit, some I've just kept the old icon but put it into the new look. Hope that makes it clearer ;)

That it does. Thanks. :)

Hey, pdBravo, can we use those buttons for the E3 Mod? Fully credited of course.

The file seems to be down.

Yeh I think the host had a bit of a clear out a while back. Now on new computer and have lost the original files, wanted to download it myself but hit same problem as you lol

I could remake them all, or even improve it, as I still play HOI2 more than 3, but have yet to find the time. Unless anyone still has the original file knocking about and can re-upload to somewhere?
