Well, after starting some games to learn how Victoria works, I finally started a real game with Brazil.I stopped in 1858.I managed to be a Great Power and had 0 militancy for everyone and average CON.I had little trouble with the majors since I was having good relations with France and UK (because they are the nearest to me) and didn't conquer much territory so my bad boy rate wouldn't get high.By then, I had 7 corps, had the second biggest prestige in the game (losing just to the US that suddenly got 1700 prestige from nothing) but the big problem was: I had just 46 ind. power.

So, here comes the questions: for starters, what ind. powers takes into account? Please don't answer industries.
Is it possible to turn a constitutional monarchy into a democracy? If possible, how?
If not, how can I build industries with Brazil? With capitalists? But how can I make them if I have none in the beggining?
How can I attract people? How can I raise my plurality? Is CON good or bad?
And where can I see my bad boy rate?

Thank you a lot.

1. Industrial Power is increased by building railroads and industries. There's no way to get around it, to get a decent industrialisation score you need to industrialize. But don't worry, we're here to help you do it.

2. No, as far as I know there is no way to go directly from a constitutional monarchy to a democracy. Not unless you manage to get some liberals to revolt and take over the country but that's a risky tactic to say the least. The best way should be to set a reactionary, anarcho-liberal or communist party as rulers and wait for becoming a presidential dictatorship. After that you can turn yourself into a democracy by changing to a non-radical party and setting voting to universal suffrage (might need free parties and/or free meetings, I'm not sure). But to be honest I don't think it's worth the problem unless you really want to be a democracy for some personal reasons. Constitutional monarchies work just fine throughout the game, it's not like you're screwed or anything.

3. How you build industries depends on your economic policies. If you have Laissez-Faire or Interventionism then you'll have to let the capitalists do the heavy lifting. Capitalists can only be promoted from clerks so if you don't have any industries you probably need to promote some clerks first. This can be a pain if the world supply of furniture is low (which it tends to be early on in my games), but with your high prestige it should be possible. Also be aware that capitalists can build railroads anywhere but they only build industries in their own states so it's better to have a small or mid-sized capitalist pop in every state than a huge pop in your capital. Also, you want to have rich taxes and tarrifs as low as possible in order to maximise the profits of your capitalists, speeding up your economy.

4. For migration, I suggest you read this guide: http://www.paradoxian.org/vickywiki/index.php/Immigration/Emigration_and_Migration_Guide
It also includes links that answer your questions about plurality and CON.

5. Finally, to see your badboy rating you simply open up the console (f12 key), type badboy and press enter. To turn of the console just press f12 again.

...it's better to have a small or mid-sized capitalist pop in every state than...
Focus on the states that have lots of Farmer/Labourer POPs that are available for promotion to Clerks and Craftsmen. There is little point in putting Capitalists in states that only have POPs that would barely fill a single factory.

One last question: so, as a constitutional monarchy, it is better not to worry about attracting immigrants?Since plurality and CON aren't good for me and also because constitutional monarchies receive less immigrants?

@fanisx: Well, I wouldn't go out of my way to attract immigrants in your position. If it coincides with your other plans then it can be a nice little bonus, plurality and CON aren't as good for you as they are for "pure" democracies but they're not that bad either. It's not like you're an autocracy or anything.

@beowulf: True, not all states are suited for industrialisation, especially if you don't have full citizenship and you have sizeable minorities of non-national ethnicities in your nation (I'm talking about you, Austria *shakes fist*).
