Was recently playing a game as the SU and I was able to defeat Germany fairly quickly for a change. So I thought that was a quick game, I was wrong. I was preparing to face the allies and built up more forces. I had 800 divisions. Mainly infantry with some HQs, para, tanks, and motorized troops. What was going to challenge me with such a force? In the east Japan was limited to its home islands. They never conquered china. the USA had taken control of Manchuria and Korea.
So to get ready for war with the allies I put some troops around turkey (I attacked them 1st and they joined the allies). Some around portugul planning to hop from the arzones to the bahammas and into the USA. around 150 divisions near Africa so they could invade the allies there. Some troops were placed around persia (puppet of UK). Lastly I placed about 100 divisions which I considered a sideline theater. The rest of my army was in france ready to invade england.
So I invaded Turkey and soon was at war with the allies. Was doing fine except for in manchuria. The USA kept sending in reinforcements and the terran was a nightmare. Then Nat China declared war on me. The border with China was unprotected. So I starting to build landforts and recurit troops. It took almost two years to win. I ended up pulling in my entire army at the expense of other fronts. I loaded as China and the USA to see what they had at their height and I was fighting an army in size nearly equal to my own. About 700 divisions between te two of them running around in China and manchuria.
The only thing that saved me was hat they were never allied so I was able to destory all the US troops. Having them join forces with China would have been very tough.
