Dat Saxe-Lauenburg! Shame they're in your way and will probably die, it would be the first time I ever get to see their name on the map if they continue like this...

Chapter XVI: Get Rid Of Nevers

After years of religious strife, the Empire of Luxembourg was finally beginning to see eye to eye. The in-fighting ceased and we were able to look abroad for war.

Nevers was chosen as our first victim. They were a OPM nation in the middle of our Empire. Seeing as Burgundy was our underling, Nevers was bound to become a part of our nation.

I will enjoy this war, seeing as Switzerland is one of my least favorite nations in the game....

Chapter XVII: Emperor?

The loss of one of the Empires protectors put a thorn in the Emperors arse. With Switzerland being picked for bones and free territory, The only protectors left were Bohemia, Austria, Milan and The Emperor himself. The Emperor was the weakest of the three protectors. He needed more land to stay on par with the other nations. He had cores on the other nations, which he quickly declared war on. Unfortunately for him, He declared war on a nation that was protected by Luxembourg.

We were going to skip over Hesse and let them be, seeing as they were two small to pose any real threat, but they attacked a passing army on its way to Saxe-Lauenburg. So they met their Timely demise.

When We reached the Emperors lands, we found they had a welcoming committee for us. We were happy with the party offers.

It was a wonderful attempt, but what you failed to realize is the we are a REAL Empire, and you will never compare to us. After the war, the council was a little upset at such a war with no property gain, so we found a small province and said it belonged to us. Bohemia wasnt happy.

And now for the Closer, I found myself in awe at the fact that My over the top empire, was in 5th place in the tech race. Crazy huh?

End Of Chapter XVII

How do you stay ahead in tech? I'm always behind! Also how do you manage to always inherit first try, I can never get it; is there a trick to it?
i Also fall behind in tech always, inflation is the reason…

As For tech, I ALWAYS go Free subjects. It gives a tech boost as well as a Army Moral boost. To me, this is the easiest slider to move, as there are alot of events to halp with it. Plus, It gives a wonderful event where you lose two inflation.

After my Free Subjects bar is filled, I go for the Innovative, but I dont go full on Innovative until AFTER the reformation hits, as it will cause major religious turmoil resulting in a war.

Also, the more uncored provinces you have, the harder it is to gain tech. So I never usually attack a nation that I dont have a core or mission on. The More Infamy you have, the harder it is to gain tech. So Unless I feel like being a warmonger like Scotland or Brittany, I tend to want to keep it lower then 20.

As for the first time inheritance, the secret is diplomacy. When you are stronger then the other nation, it depends on how much more Diplomatic your nation is. How to increase Diplomacy? Easy. Making a Sphere of influence. When I was the Emperor and France went through two Kings, I started making a Sphere. 1 nation in your sphere means one point to diplomacy, and you can add as many nations to your sphere as you want. The only thing it cost is prestige. Being the Emperor with Two Imperial Reforms made it that I gained nearly 10 prestige a year, so making a Sphere was easy. I will upload a screen of my Sphere later to show you.
