I have found Turko-Semitic can spread fairly quickly in its own culture group as well as over the usual Greek and South Slavic cultures a standard EUIII Otto might hold. And then of course there is the special assimilation rate for Altaic by Russians (non-issue in your game, obviously).

What's that lime green spot around-though-not-necessarily-in Mecca? Shia Islam? Then what's the darker spot at the end of the Arabian Peninsula? Or is that the same color as the Sunni in Indonesia and the Orthodox burnt orange is interfering with these old eyes?
both darker greens are Sunni. Arabian one just appears darker (strangely, the one in Africa seems the brightest of the Sunni areas)

I thought it was impossible that Lienster would be a GP at V2 start buuuut if the converter is heavy toward Tech they just might pull it off. Prestige does it matter to the converter?

V2 power equally weights military, industrial, and prestige scores, but since nobody has any industrial, it's basically half military, half prestige. I think the converter bases the prestige entirely on eu3 which weights it very heavily. I don't like this because so many of the major powers have terrible prestige because of colonial revolutions. I'm planning to modify the prestige in the eu3 because I just don't think it makes sense for Sardinia and Venice to be great powers. I'm thinking of giving bonus prestige for eU3 # of provinces and income, maybe it would make sense to have a bonus for tech too.

Never posted here, but I´ve been following this since its beginning. It´s a great AAR! A very interesting alternate world, and great writing!
I´ll jump on the wagon and also say that the Vicky II period will be awesome! I hope we´ll see a Great War involving Frankfurt (Germany?), Austria and Etruria on one side and England, France and Sibir on the other!
A question: is the decision to form the UK present in Vicky II? Or will England remain being England forever?

Actually I think the converter DOES take into account which manufactories are present in a province. I've converted over with Industrial score before and factories pre-built in provinces, and it seems to correspond with where I placed my Refineries/textile factories/etc in EUIII. But I do agree that a straight conversion of prestige from EUIII ---> Vic2 skews a lot of things up so whenever I plan to convert I always add and subtract prestige as I feel appropriate. Its silly seeing a big AI Spain with huge tracts of colonial land not be a GP b/c of colonial revolts and the eventual prestige drain from not holding cores.

Ideally, if I felt like taking the time, I would look at size, income, inflation, tech, and military strength of the top 30 or so (or even all of them) nations and average it all into one score. Give the top ranked nation of that 100 prestige and the next one prestige equal to what % they are in relation to #1. So if #1 and #2 are close, then #2 will have a prestige in the 90's, say, and so on. For nations under a certain level I would just assign 0-5 prestige (for not completely pathetic nations) and negative prestige for truly small/pathetic nations (and maybe some vassals even if they are respectable but not big/powerful ones) based on just how pathetic they are.

What's that lime-green nation in northern Europe that's so far ahead in tech?

Yegur is correct, that is Polotsk. Though the highest tech nation in the world is Sardinia (Trade & Production 69, 68 in all other facets).
Ah, I missed them. Sardina in Sardina is probably the strangest of all the things that will be seen in this AAR. German USA in Canada? Fine to me. Mega-Frankfurt? Not too off. Sardina in Sardina? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!

Still mining the final save game for data with the help of Cback for maps.

I'm actually quite surprised at that. I would have thought at least one of them could pull off some decent merchant/trade power play.

You've certainly not exhausted my interest; I find this sort of information fascinating. It really adds another layer of depth to the world, and certainly gives you more fuel for narrative during the transition. Not to mention it gives you another baseline with which you (and we!) can measure how successful or accurate the conversion is.
