A letter to the developers - Character creation/customization

Dear Henrik Fåhraeus @Doomdark and the CK3 team,

I have never played the Crusader Kings games before. But after I read the idea of this game, the "Game Vision Statement", it makes me excited to play this game. One of the focuses that I like is that this game emphasized on its characters.

I would like to propose a suggestion. Please include character creation/customization for CK3. I just found out that in CK2, there is an expansion pack titled Ruler Designer which allows us to create or customize our character. This feature will enhance the level of immersion of this game.

But in the end, if you decide that character creation/customization feature will be separate from the base game, it is OK - I will still buy it.

I cannot wait to play CK3 next year. In the meantime, I'm playing Imperator: Rome which also have a characters to play with. I really love a strategy game, especially the one with a historical setting, that inject characters into its game.

I would love to have the ruler designer incorporated into base CK3. Charging for it was always a little ridiculous.

I'll admit, I wish they made the ruler designer free in CK2. It's such a core part of CK2 that they even admitted how much the RPG aspects are core to the game with CK3 being more about the RPG.

Though let's be honest CK3 is 100% going to have ruler designer in it at launch. With their bigger focus on characters it'd be odd if it wasn't.

There is no reason for them not to. In fact, we can already assume it will be in at launch judging by the Monarch's Journey rewards.

I honestly assumed that this was a nobrainer. However, how detailed should they make it? Please make it somewhat as indepth as the EVE character creator.

Oh god it didn't even occur to me that with the new genetics system, it can get super granular.

Yup, I'm 100% sure that CKIII will have the Ruler Designer's features at launch. Customization and roleplay are a bigger focus in this game than in CKII.
