Hi guys

I'm playing a game called Warplan Orange from Matrix Games. It's about a hypothetical US/Japanese war in the 20s and 30s - mostly battleships and cruisers, with early aircraft and aircraft carriers. As I play it, I can't help but think that it'd be as much fun playing this scenario in HOI2 as it is in its own game.

I was wondering if you'd mind if I based my little mod off of CORE2. Right now it's only for my use only, but if I stick to it and finish it, it might be worth sharing. I like using CORE as a base because you guys did a great job, and your combat mechanics (especially in regards to the naval aspect, with individual subs and destroyers). I'll do my own events and I'll have to rewrite the tech tree, of course, but in the end I think it'll be fun and keep me occupied while I look for a job. :)

Thanks

I doubt we'd have any problem with this, indeed, I am sure we wouldn't if you just used it is as basis for your "home grown" mod. If it ever went any further, then I don't think there would be any problem, provided that credit was given for the relevant parts used.

You'd get a better response if you asked at the CORE forum on www.terranova.dk - I'll post a cross thread there and ask the rest of the development team, and let you know of any replies.
