The word I used was much more violent than "dumbass" by the way, but nevermind that, I was passably irritated when writing this post, and it has little to do with the subject itself.

My point was that I perceived this column, in the way it was written and its arguments exposed, as an accusation against Paradox policies.
This was all the more disturbing to me because I give a lot of credit to Canard PC's saying, and seeing my favourite developper, which I always perceived as extremely reliable in terms of communication and game quality, be associated with the despicable methods of some major companies litteraly set me on fire.
Not against Canard PC, but against you. Because my confidence was seriously shaken after that reading.

It so happens that at the end of the day, I would be the one "misinterpreting" and translating badly. Well I guess someone has to be faulty, no matter if it's the one who was asking for explanations...
We appreciate that you brought this concern to us instead of harboring it in silence without an explanation.
We constantly strive to have better communication with our members and those that enjoy our games, constructive feedback is always welcome.
You also had the CMO of our company reply directly in this thread not once but three times, I doubt you would get that with other "World Companies" :)

"Crisis Avoided !"

As the tension rose along the shared border between Paradoxia and Canardia over a contentious diplomatic blunder that escalated quickly, respective diplomats and foreign affairs department managed to calm both sides and settle for a peaceful resolution of the issue. A representative from Paradoxia declared "Constructive feedback is always welcome", while the Canard envoy declared being denied entry to the table of negotiations by the Anti-Spam border guards. Eventually the Canard responsible for the blunder apologized as both side backed down and order was restored on the border.

[Canardia gains +10 prestige, all canards pops gains +1 consciousness, -1 militancy]
[Paradoxia gains +10 prestige, all paradox pops gains +1 conciousness, -1 militancy]

If I may be bold; it seems part of the "problem" is the translation.

Most of the Paradox community speaks English. Hell, most people on the internet speak English. You may not like it (and, if you are from France or Quebec, you almost certainly DO NOT like it) but this is reality. If you want to make sure people don't mis-translate you, you need to provide your own translation, otherwise, you run that risk.

I think it would have been quite hard anyway to translate the text while keeping the original tone intact. Because it's a translation, some implied meaning will necessary be lost in translation. This is a problem with most pieces written using specific writing styles.
Also the perception of "harshness" of a piece will be different between 2 people. The ambiguous sentence that have been interpreted as "accusations of paradox throwing stones at EA" by some is a prime example.

Hence why you need the original author to translate it; otherwise it loses it's meaning.

For example, the tone of the above like by me is supposed to be "seeeee, THATs why you do it" but if you translate the words, the tone could change altogether, it could sound rude, or even passive.
