A problem going from 1.2 to 1.3a

When I ran 1.3a, it told me that the game was not installed on the computer.

1.2 runs fine.

I have not made any mods.

Everything was installed in the defaults.

What simple thing am I doing wrong?

Which game do you have ?
Hoi2
Hoi2 Doomsday
Hoi2 Doomsday-Armageddon

Patch 1.3a only exist for Hoi2 or Doomsday but not for Armageddon (having 1.2 as latest version)

Make sure that the patch is correct.

These are for regular HoI2

I downloaded the 1.3a from the above link and replaced the earlier 1.3a.
It ran with the same result, Hoi2 not installed on the computer.
Would uninstalling and re-installing help?

Same problem

I've got the same problem with doomsday extension (I took the patches from this site).
But this is not a native Doomsday, it comes from the "Hearts of Iron anthology".

From which type of hearts of iron game comes your version ?

Personnaly I solve my problem by making a reparation of my installation of doomsday.

You could try the Repair function, I have seen people say that works.

If not uninstall/reinstall. However if the PC doesn't see the game you may not be a ble to uninstall it either.
