This suggestion is very simple, I would like to be able to leave myself little text notes when I save a game that pop up when it reloads. Notes like "don't forget to reassign task force A when it finishes repairing" or "Argentina just joined the alliance remember to send them techs soon" would be very helpful.

If this could be implemented as a simple in game macro that would allow you to create more game pause conditions that would be great. However, you wouldn't need the note to have anymore triggers than a player supplied date. The player would just click the notes button set the date he wants it to go off and then type in the text of his choosing.

The ability to place (and remove) notes on the map would also be a cool role-playing aid.

That way, your southern front in Barbarossa could be labelled "Army Group South (von Rundstedt)"

Hadn't actually thought of on map notes specifically, would be very cool though. I was mostly thinking of sort of a simple date and text only event, just generated from within the game. Sometimes I save a game and for whatever reason can't come back to soon and often will resume play forgeting some minor details of strategy, such as which nations I am influencing or that Hungary needs to take a port by a certain date in order to deploy a ship its building :p

cool ideas!

never thought about that, but it would make game much more easier.

(I always play germany and have nat. spain in axis. most time I forget to overrun gibraltar => lots of british troops in gibraltar => impossible to fight them succesfully)

Both make the game much easier to follow. The first one would be wonderfull for f.ex. the yearly sliderchange. Usually by '42 or so I've forgotten at least once for a month or so to change my sliders. :(

The second one could be coupled to the ctr+number. That way by pressing f.ex. 1 the label belonging to the forces under that key would light up.

Also, now, if you press 1 and the forces under 1 are for 50% in W-Europe and for 50% in Siberia, the map automatically goes halfway inbetween these, not very convenient IMHO.
