Aberation Patch 1.06b problems

Is anyone else having problems playing MP with the 1.06b Aberation patch? We have downloaded Aberation.zp from:

and we are consistently getting players blocked out of the game. What's the foolproof way to install the latest Aberation version? Where is the best version? Are there plans to release a 1.07?

Foolproof would be: Clean install of EU2, 1.08, latest beta, Aberration 1.06b. Nothing else.

I'm currently hosting a 11-guys-MP, it's all running pretty smooth.
