Milan and then Sicily is probably best.:)

The TO needs to be considered taking Russia into account, and I am not sure how we handle that region so far, I admit.

Ok. I'll concentrate on Italy first.

I have some ideas about how to handle the russian principalities, but I'll talk about that later, in a different thread. Cheers.

Hey Kaigon.

I finally got a chance to take a close look at the Swabia events you crafted. Very nice, if you don't mind me saying. :)

Although I'm not interested in making Milan itself go protestant, I am intrigued by your idea of having a protestant Swabia as the overlord of Milan. I noticed that a protestant Karl I will most likely lose control of Milan (202124) should Swabia have annexed them. I don't suppose I could convince you to add an Option B to Swabia event 202124 (when you get back around to working on them) that allows the player to fight the family feud in an attempt to retain control of Milan?

I'm getting pretty close to working on Milan now myself and I hope to build a monarch/leader tree to support the several dynasties possible with dukedom (duchy?). It would be pretty cool if we were able to set up a bi-directional dynasty where a protestant Swabia could overrun northern Italy or a catholic Milan could overrun Switzerland/Germany.

Not really, they should actually lose italian culture in that event as well. And that event is also used as a trigger for a Bavarian event to let them start the conquest of Swabia. In the end, this event will cause the most destruction to Swabia, which I don't mind.
There should also be an event that cedes all italian provinces to Milan.

Personally I have nothing against the protestant duchy of Swabia to overrun Italy, but I doubt it's worth the damage it causes Bavaria, since they need some room to expand into.

New beta, no vassal loss on religion change.:)

I think everything you say here is just what the default path through should be. I was mostly thinking of a tantalizing option B for the human player -- this is the aberration after all.

Yup. Small nations should be playable in MP.

Only because we only made some majors, we shouldn´t doom all normal underdogs that stayed minors to doom in SP Aberration.;)
