Aberration 4 Kasperus
I am honoured to present to you one of the best mods for Europa Universalis 2: Aberration - brought to you on a new map. A map you all know well, and many of you love to use: World According To Kasperus, or WATK.
To play A4K, you'll need the following things:
-> Vanilla EU2 patched to version 1.09
-> Kasperus' WATK 3.1 map, downloadable here
-> The .rar file from the given link
Instructions:
-> Install the WATK map
-> Unpack the .rar archive to EU2 main folder
-> The mod can be run using the abe.bat file - just like the original Aberration mod
The mod features the world of Aberration, which takes place in an alternate universe if things had gone a bit different. The normal Great Powers you encounter in the vanilla Eu2 haven´t had the same luck as in normal history. Also all medium and major powers have leaders, events for the whole timeline of 1419-1819. Also, colonial events are much more flexible. There is no Treaty of Tordesillas, no "historical" expansion for powers in Europe or the rest of the World - you shape history yourself. This Scenario is designed for Single Player as well as for Multiplayer purposes. The A4K Team has adapted the original Aberration scenario to a much more enjoyable map created by Kasperus.
The mod is in constant development and may, of course, contain some bugs - it is, as of today (25.12.07) a 0.80 version. If you encounter any bugs, CtD, problems, or have any suggestions that you wish to share with the authors of the mod, please, post them in this thread.
You must also know that A4K isn't just a copy of the original Aberration idea - we are currently reworking many of the countries' events, leaders and monarchs, with a goal to make as many nations both challenging and interesting to play. The plans for the nearest future contain a complete alteration of the 'history' for Bulgaria, Serbia, Georgia, Poland, Bohemia and the Hussites, a new, reemerging Timurid Empire, and Halych-Volhynia.
